DAY 1 - Marbella to Gibralter & Seville

This morning we depart Marbella for a tour extension based further north in Seville.

The Mediterranean Sea narrows to only 9 miles across at the Strait of Gibraltar. The Rock of Gibraltar, a 1400 feet high limestone rock rising out of the sea, is a British military outpost which can be seen for many miles around. We explore the San Miguel Caves with their intricate limestone formations showcased with colourful lights, and the Gibralter Monkey Reserve where the famous Barbary Apes live. After the tour we will enjoy a very British lunch of traditional ‘Fish & Chips’ before we drive on to Seville.

After we have checked in to our hotel in Seville, dinner will be together this evening.

DAY 2 - Stunning Seville

Today will be dedicated to seeing the best of Seville. This morning we will have a guided sightseeing tour of the historic city centre including entrance to the Gothic Cathedral, the site of Christopher Columbus’s tomb and a minaret turned bell tower, the Giralda.

After this walking tour we will be kore than ready for lunch together at Casa Carmen. This afternoon we will enjoy a panoramic tour of the Plaza de Espana, a landmark square with a large water feature and seats with painted ceramic tiles and also an ornate pavilion before we continue on to see the city from a different perspective, enjoying a river cruise before an evening at leisure for dinner.

DAY 3 - Jerez & Cadiz

This morning we depart for the wine-producing region of Jerez. Here, we enjoy a wine tasting in one of the local wineries, and wander around the historic centre hearing unique anecdotes about the history of flamenco in the birthplace of this art form.

From Santa Maria port we head to Cadiz, one of the oldest towns in all Europe. This city is known as the 'little cup of silver' due to its unusual circular shape. We explore the main monuments, such as the baroque cathedral, with its spectacular domes. During the war of independence, governmental representatives met in the San Felipe Neri oratory here where the 1812 constitution, known as 'the seed', was created and where the rights of Spaniards were defined for the first time.

You will enjoy a little free time to enjoy our local lunch and explore yourself before returning to Seville.

DAY 4 - Adios Espania & Home

This morning we will check out from our hotel in Seville for private transfers to the airport for your onward travel.

    • Arrival flights should be arranged into Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport [AGP], Spain in time to arrive for the Experience Spain Member Event.
    • Departure flights should be from Faro Airport [FAO], Portugal after the Experience Portugal Member Event.
