DAY 2 - Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

After an early breakfast, we head out towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Ngorongoro Crater is 600 meters deep, 20 km wide and is the largest unflooded, unbroken caldera in the world. It holds the greatest concentration of wildlife in Africa and is an extraordinary ecosystem, where you can find the Big Five and if you’re lucky, even the endangered black rhino. This area serves as an important space for the animals of the Great Migration to give birth at Lake Ndutu, which borders the southern Serengeti. Enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch in Ngorongoro before driving to Pakulala Luxury Safari Camp, located close to the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Pakulala Luxury Safari Camp is an exclusive campsite, composed of only 11 tents ,offering a unique experience and spectacular views of the crater caldera. The luxury tents are furnished with unique furniture, locally made with original designs. The comfortable beds and 100% cotton sheets ensure a good night's sleep, whereas you can wash off the dust after a long day on safari in the hot showers, with a flush eco toilet.
For dinner this evening, we will join together in the mess tent and dine on the Mediterranean influenced menu.

DAY 3 - Northern Serengeti Game Drive

After breakfast, we leave Pakulala Luxury Safari Camp and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area behind us and enter the Serengeti National Park. Located between the Central Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve to the north, the Northern Serengeti is a remote African wildlife wonderland. The vast, rolling savannah of the Northern Serengeti, is known as the hub of the great migration. The landscape is characterised by vast stretches of savannah interspersed with acacia trees and riverine woodlands. Commonly spotted wildlife include: a multitude of plains game such as buffalo, zebra, gazelles, impala, giraffe as well as lion and leopard.
Today, you will be out on a game drive for a large part of the day, before reaching the award-winning Bush Rover Migration Camp. A private and unique safari camp, right in the heart of the action but away from the crowds, the camp is seasonal and moves between 3 private sites depending on the migrations, but always within the Serengeti ecosystem. The accommodation features working Land Rovers which open out as gracefully as a swallowtail into stunning safari rooms. Each 4.2 x 4.8 metre tented bedroom sits on top of a Land Rover on a sturdy metal platform, using the vehicle as the foundation.

All suites have solar-powered lighting and hot water, a flush loo, and even a bathtub in the back of the Land Rover. The elevation of the bedroom and balcony is key to the Bush Rover experience, as guests can feel the security of height but get as close to the wildlife as possible. Drinks can be enjoyed by the campfire under the endless stars before dinner in the cosy dining tent.

It has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and serves as an important sanctuary for a large selection of wildlife including the endangered black rhino as well as the white rhino.
